Robert Bailey 1751 - 1814

Robert was my five greats grandfather and was baptised in Theberton on the 10th April 1751. He married Ann Canham in Theberton on the 12th October 1775. Ann was born in 1755, the youngest of six children of Francis Canham (1720 - 1761) and Ann Harvey who was born in  about 1720. Robert and Ann had 11 children, including my four greats grandfather, Roger. All of their children were born and baptised in Theberton. Robert carried on the family profession of the village blacksmith until his death on the 6th September 1814. He was buried in the churchyard at Theberton on the 11th September.
