The Hunt Family
It took a long time to get started on the Hunt branch of my family, as my grandfather, Victor, died at the age of 30 in 1940. His wife Jeannie continued to bring up her family in Leiston with the support of her sister, my great aunt Bessie.
I eventually managed to trace the Hunt family back to my five great grandfather, William, who was born in 1759. I turned out to be very fortunate, as all the Hunts were born and bred in Little Glemham, a small village about 17 miles to the north east of Ipswich. I even discovered that my great grandfather, Ernest, died in the First World War and his death is commemorated on the war memorial at Cambrai.
