The Whiting Family
I
have managed to trace the Whiting side of my family back to my five greats
grandfather, Stanton, who I believe was born about
1723. Some time after his death in 1754, his third child, William, moved to the
village of Badingham in the north of Suffolk. It was here that William married
Susan and my research into my Whiting history really began.
The village of Badingham lies in the north of Suffolk on what is now the A1120 running from Yoxford in the east, to Stowmarket in the west. The village did not change much during the time that William and his family lived there. The picture on the left shows the village street in about 1910.
